Glazed white body single-fired ceramic tile is also made from talc, a clay powder, which is dust-pressed into molds creating a bisque. But unlike glazed, double-fired, white body tiles, the bisque is first coated with a glaze and then fired in long (tunnel) kilns to make the finished product. This is a "monoporrosa" (single-fired) process which yields a very high quality white body ceramic tile.
This type of ceramic tile is available in several different colors, styles and sizes. Some typical ones are:
4-1/4"x4-1/4" Sq.
6"x6" Sq.
6"x4-1/4" Rectangular
6"x8" Rectangular
8"x13"
Rect.
